The Creative Journey
Behind UVB7 Interiors is the creative journey of the founder.
Born to an English mother and Iranian father, he grew up influenced by two cultures while developing a particularly strong connection with Iran, its people and its artistic heritage.
Time spent living in Iran deepened his appreciation for Persian architecture, colour, craftsmanship and the tradition of rug making — influences that continue to shape his creative approach today.
From Discipline To Creativity
Before design became his focus, sport played an important role in his life.
A talented cricket and hockey player, he competed at a high level and represented England in hockey during his school and college years.
Sport developed discipline, determination and an instinctive understanding of movement — qualities that would later find a very different expression through art and design.
Finding Expression Through Poetry
Following university, he experienced a difficult period in his life.
During his recovery, creativity became an important source of strength.
Inspired by artist Andrew Worrall, he discovered poetry and began writing as a way of expressing emotion and experience.
Poetry gradually became more than words on a page.
It developed his appreciation for rhythm, atmosphere, emotion and interpretation — ideas that now influence the way he approaches visual design.
From Words To Visual Design
His professional journey later developed through marketing, graphic design and visual technology.
Working with pattern, colour and composition allowed him to translate creative ideas into visual form.
His experience within the rug industry ultimately brought these influences together.
Persian heritage, Poetry, Graphic design, Colour, Texture, and Movement.
These became the foundations of UVB7 Interiors.
